Everyone's got an opinion on what Karl Malone will do, or should do, now that he's officially a free agent for the first time in his career. Here's an idea I haven't seen yet, one that my son actually shared with me. Since it's looking like he wants to join a contender and get a chance at a "ring," why not let Malone sign with the Lakers for one year, then have him come back to the Jazz the following year when he can go out in style, breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's all-time scoring record as a Jazzman. Sounds like a win-win for everyone, assuming Malone gets that coveted ring with the Lakers.
