Sean May, the second-year forward out of North Carolina, has been plagued by a right knee injury that required surgery to remove cartilage last season. He then developed a bone bruise in the knee in January. May has missed 30 of the past 35 games and said he'll likely sit out the rest of the season.

"The self-discipline is going to be really, really important," Bickerstaff said.

"In terms of taking care of your diet and being in the best possible shape. Not coming in good shape, coming in in great shape," May said after working out in the weight room before the game Friday. "What he means by discipline is, just taking the initiative, do the work, make sure I do the work for myself and the franchise."
