The man that former NBA star Glen Rice allegedly beat has decided to drop his charges against the sharpshooter, according to the Associated Press.

Rice was charged with battery last month after reportedly entering the home of his estranged wife and punching a male occupant.

Alberto Perez told prosecutors that he wanted to drop the charges on Friday, Ed Griffith, spokesman for the Miami-Dade County state attorney's office, told the AP.
