It appears that Gilbert Arenas will not have as long as he first thought to opt out of his contract with the Wizards.

According to the Washington Post, the deadline to opt out is actually June 20, not June 30 as he first thought.  Arenas realized the oversight when reading over his contract.

Arenas said he will have a lawyer look over the paperwork needed to make the decision official and plans to submit that paperwork as soon as next week.
