Philadelphia will meet with restricted free agent Josh Smith today in an effort to lure him to the Sixers, Phil Jasner of the Philadelphia Daily News is reporting.

Atlanta has the option to match any offer sheet which Smith may sign and have said they'll match any offers that Smith or Josh Childress may get from rival teams.

If the Sixers were to use the entire $11.5 million toward a contract for Smith, using the maximum permissible annual raises of 8 percent from the base year, they could offer a 5-year deal worth $66.7 million, according to Jasner.

According to the report, it is rumored that the Sixers may be trying to get further under the cap to increase an offer to whomever the final target turns out to be.
