76ers general manager Ed Stefanski wants to re-sign point guard Andre Miller this summer.
Miller, who earns $10 million in 2008-09, will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. It is believed that he will be looking for a long-term, lucrative deal.
"Do we like Andre Miller? Sure. Do we want to re-sign him? Yes," Stefanski said when asked about the point guard.
"We do want to try to put something together that makes sense for Andre and for us. But we are in uncharted waters in free agency now because of the state of the economy. Andre seems happy with us, but, even though we want him back, he's an unrestricted free agent. He has to say yes," the general manager added.
RealGM Note: Miller is currently ranked 21st in season FIC and has a Reina Value of +42%, which means he 'deserves' a salary of approximately $15M.
