76ers center Samuel Dalembert requested a trade before this February's deadline, and his return to the club is uncertain despite the fact that he's under contract.

Dalembert will be paid $11.4 million next season and $12.2 million in 2010-11. He said recently that the request for a trade was due to frustration at the beginning of the season.

"The frustration came down to, [in] the beginning, we were losing and I wasn't playing much," Dalembert said.

One source close to the organization believes that Dalembert still wants to leave the team.

"Sammy did tell you that he asked to be traded at the trade deadline," general manager Ed Stefanski said. "We tried to accommodate him and were unsuccessful."

"Right now, he's a member of the Sixers, and we hope he gets better over the summer and works on the things we asked him to work on," Stefanski added.
