Derrick Rose is confident his back spasms won’t be a lingering concern this season.

“Stretching more, that’s the biggest thing,” Rose said. “I thought that just coming in before every game and getting stretched a little bit was going to do it. For someone that’s not flexible — I’m not flexible at all — I see that I have to get more stretching done. Before the game, after the game, in practice — I’ve always got to find a way to make sure my body’s good.”

Rose said team doctors suggested using a cortisone shot or something similar to ease the pain.

“That came up, but I’m scared of shots, so there’s no way I could have done that,” he said. “Thank God I didn’t have to go through that.”
