Kawhi Leonard won't return on Thursday from his lingering quadriceps injury.

There had been increased optimism Leonard would return this week.

Leonard will continue to evaluate his injury for a possible comeback before the season ends, league sources said.

Leonard missed the first 27 games of the season with the injury and returned on a limited basis Dec. 12, playing sporadically over the next month. He last played 29 minutes on Jan. 13 and hasn’t returned to the court since.

Michael C. Wright reports nothing has materially changed with Leonard's situation and that he'll return whenever he's ready. Leonard's return is dependent on his comfort level managing the injury.
