Carmelo Anthony was granted permission by the Oklahoma City Thunder to meet with prospective teams interested in signing him if he becomes a free agent.

Anthony and the Thunder are working towards a buyout though he could also be traded and waived thereafter. Anthony would have to approve the trade.

Anthony reportedly has met with the Houston Rockets and Miami Heat.

Marc Stein of the New York Times reports "it would be a full-fledged surprise if (Anthony) doesn't wind up with the Rockets." Stein also reports that the interest from the Lakers has been "overstated."
