The Miami Heat have interest in DeMar DeRozan in free agency, sources tell Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald. Marc Stein of Substack also reports that the Heat are interested in DeRozan.

DeRozan is close with Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry. Miami's priority in the offseason is their pursuit of Lowry.

The Heat would need to acquire DeRozan via a sign-and-trade, which would make any transaction complicated and require the participation of the San Antonio Spurs.

In his third season with the Spurs in 20-21, DeRozan averaged 21.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.9 assists in 33.7 minutes per game.
