The Golden State Warriors have interest in trading for Kevin Durant, sources tell Marc J. Spears of Andscape.

Durant left the Warriors in 2019 after his third season with the franchise in which he appeared unhappy with his place on team throughout that final season. Durant chose to team up with Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets, but has requested a trade after his second healthy season with the team.

While Durant has the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat atop his list and it is unknown whether he would be interested in a return to the Warriors, his former team could quite easily assemble an attractive trade package for the Nets while keeping their core together.

The Warriors could offer some combination of Jordan Poole, James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody while sending Andrew Wiggins to a third team to make the salaries work. The Nets could not accept Wiggins as part of the trade if they plan on keeping Ben Simmons since they are both on five-year rookie extensions.
