Joel Embiid has been ruled out of Game 2 against the New York Knicks by the Philadelphia 76ers due to ankle and hip injuries.

Embiid was unable to participate in shootaround on Wednesday morning after experiencing soreness in both his ankle and hip.

Embiid has been receiving around-the-clock treatments in hopes of playing Game 2. The Sixers enter Game 2 with a 0-1 series deficit to the Knicks.

The Sixers won Game 2 at the Boston Celtics in the first round despite playing without Embiid.
