Game 3 of the 2026 NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks averaged 23.8 million viewers on ABC and ESPN, making it the most-watched NBA Finals Game 3 in 28 years, since the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz met in 1998, per Nielsen data.
The broadcast peaked at 26.3 million viewers at 11:15 p.m. ET and recorded a 42.7 P2+ share, the highest ever measured for an NBA game. It also ranked as the most-watched program across all of television since the Super Bowl.
The Spurs won the game 115-111 to bring the series to 2-1 in favor of the Knicks.
The series has generated more than 5 billion social media views through the first three games, the most ever recorded through that stage of an NBA Finals. Global Google searches for the NBA Finals, New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs have each reached all-time highs.
