The 2026 NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs are averaging 19.6 million viewers through four games, making it the most-watched NBA Finals since 1998 and the most-watched ever on ABC and ESPN combined, according to Nielsen Big Data + Panel. The 1998 Finals featured the Chicago Bulls against the Utah Jazz in a rematch of the previous year's Finals and the last one with Michael Jordan.

Game 4 on Wednesday averaged 20.9 million viewers, the largest NBA Finals Game 4 audience since 1998 and the most-watched Game 4 in ABC history. Viewership peaked at 23.2 million viewers at 11:15 p.m. ET as the Knicks completed their 29-point comeback over the Spurs.

Game 4 viewership rose 123% from the comparable game last year, while the four-game average is up 116% from last year's championship series.

Game 3 drew 23.8 million viewers and peaked at 26.3 million viewers at 11:15 p.m. ET.

Wednesday's broadcast was also the most-watched program of the day across all of television and led all key male and adult demographic categories for June 10.
