Darius Songaila, who played with the Philadelphia 76ers last season, signed a 1-year $1.5 million deal with the Turkish team Galatasaray.

Unlike Deron Williams, the eight-year NBA veteran has a no-escape clause in his contract, meaning that he will not be able to return to the NBA this season if the lockout ends.

"Darius didn't play a lot of minutes last season in Philadelphia, and with the uncertainty surrounding the lockout, he wanted to make sure he'd play next season," Marc Bartelstein, his agent, told ESPN.com.
