NBA Postpones Five Games Through Tuesday

Dec 19, 2021 2:06 PM

With COVID outbreaks around the NBA, combined with injuries, several NBA teams are struggling to put competitive rosters on the court. As such, the NBA has postponed five games through Tuesday, December 21.

The postponed games are:

Denver Nuggets at Brooklyn Nets - Sunday, December 19

Cleveland Cavaliers at Atlanta Hawks - Sunday, December 19

New Orleans Pelicans at Philadelphia 76ers - Sunday, December 19

Orlando Magic at Toronto Raptors - Monday, December 20

Washington Wizards at Brooklyn Nets - Tuesday, December 21

This brings the total number of postponed games to seven. The league previously postponed two Chicago Bulls games against the Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors.

The NBA and NBPA are continuing talks on increased roster sizes, as well as lack of cap/tax penalties when a player is signed via hardship.

Markelle Fultz Practices With Magic For First Time Since ACL Tear

Dec 11, 2021 3:40 PM

Markelle Fultz practiced with the Orlando Magic on Friday as he works his way back from a torn ACL in his left knee.

“It was amazing. (First off) just to be back with the team and be with my brothers and with this organization is amazing, but also just to get back into things and be on the road with these guys and get back into that process is, again, just a great experience,” said Fultz. “Again, just trying to get better, just trying to push these guys to get better, and that’s it really.”

Fultz participated fully in the session, taking part in five-on-five scrimmages, three-on-three action, and shooting drills.

“It’s so great to have him out there,” said Jamahl Mosley. “His court presence is great. He’s getting back into it, which is really good. His physicality, his basketball IQ, and then just his spirit of the game. What he brings with the communication, the talking, and getting guys involved. He brings so many of those things, so it’s great to him back on the court (for practice).”
