Nov 22, 2004 4:38 AM

Kerry Kittles made his Clippers debut on Sunday night in a loss to the Phoenix Suns. He finished with two points in 24 minutes.

Kittles underwent knee surgery in June

"My knee and my legs weren't that much of an issue. But my timing was definitely off, which was expected because I hadn't played," said Kittles, who came over from New Jersey in the offseason. "The leg feels pretty good right now, and it's just a matter of getting my rhythm back on the court and learning to play with these guys."

Nuggets Scramble to Replace Lenard

Nov 4, 2004 2:40 PM

Voshon Lenard is scheduled to undergo surgery Monday with team doctor Steve Traina. No timetable on his recovery will be set until then, but it should take several weeks.

They can shift Carmelo Anthony to the two-guard spot and play three power forwards -- Nene, Marcus Camby and Kenyon Martin. They experimented briefly with that lineup in the preseason, though Bzdelik said that is on hold because Nene aggravated his strained left hamstring in Los Angeles. He did not practice Wednesday and is questionable for Thursday.

The team lists Earl Boykins or DerMarr Johnson as their starting shooting guard Thursday night.

General manager Kiki Vandeweghe has stressed keeping the core team, though he discussed trading for Phoenix reserve swingman Casey Jacobsen during the summer.  Jacobsen would give them some sorely needed perimeter shooting.
