The Los Angeles Lakers have assigned forward Kyle Kuzma to the South Bay Lakers for practice on a rehab assignment.
Kuzma will practice with South Bay, and then be re-assigned to Los Angeles immediately after practice.

The Brooklyn Nets have signed guard/forward Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot to a two-way contract.
Luwawu-Cabarrot (6’7, 210) has played three NBA seasons with Chicago (2019), Oklahoma City (2018-19) and Philadelphia (2016-18), appearing in 171 career games (33 starts) and averaging 5.7 points and 1.9 rebounds in 15.6 minutes per contest. The France native appeared in 50 games during the 2018-19 season split between the Bulls and Thunder, recording averages of 4.6 points and 1.9 rebounds in 13.4 minutes per game. He has also appeared in three career NBA G League contests while on assignment with the Delaware 87ers during the 2016-17 season, averaging 10.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 steals in 27.1 minutes per game.
The Toronto Raptors have signed guard Shamorie Ponds to a two-way contract.
Ponds, 6-foot-1, 180 pounds, averaged 2.3 points and 6.7 minutes in three preseason appearances with the Houston Rockets. He also participated with the Rockets’ entry at NBA Summer League 2019 in Las Vegas, averaging 7.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 20.0 minutes in five games.
A native of Brooklyn, New York, Ponds posted career averages of 19.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 35.2 minutes in 96 games at St. John’s (2016-19).
The Chicago Bulls have signed guard Max Strus to a Two-Way contract.
Strus (6-5, 215) went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft but was signed to the Boston Celtics’ roster during the preseason. He played in four games for Boston and averaged 5.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 14.6 minutes before being waived. The native of Hickory Hills, Ill., began his collegiate career at Lewis University before transferring to DePaul after his sophomore season. Upon the conclusion of his senior campaign in 2018-19, Strus was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team after averaging 20.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 35 games. He set DePaul season records with 113 3-pointers and 311 3-point attempts, and his 705 total points rank third on the Blue Demon’s season scoring list. Strus was a three-time BIG EAST player of the week as a senior and finished his career with 29-straight games with double-figure scoring. His career scoring average of 18.6 points per game ranks fourth in DePaul’s history.
The Washington Wizards have signed Chris Chiozza to a two-way contract.
Chiozza started in 43 games for the Go-Go last season and led the NBA G League with 364 assists. He averaged 13.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 7.2 assists in his games with the Go-Go, leading the team in assists in 32 games. The Florida-product was signed to a 10-day contract by the Houston Rockets on February 22, and then to a contract for the rest of the season by Houston on March 23. Chiozza averaged 4.2 points and 3.0 assists per game in five games with the Wizards this preseason.
Chiozza joins Garrison Mathews as Washington’s two-way contract players for the year.
The Toronto Raptors have exercised the two-way player conversion option on forward Oshae Brissett.
Brissett, 6-foot-8, 210 pounds, averaged 3.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 10.2 minutes in four preseason outings with the Raptors.
A native of Mississauga, Ontario, Brissett played two collegiate seasons (2017-19) at Syracuse, posting averages of 13.7 points, 8.2 rebounds and 35.7 minutes in 71 career contests. He was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team in 2017-18.
Jaylen Hands has agreed to sign with the Long Island Nets.
Hands was the 56th overall pick by the Nets in the 2019 NBA Draft.
The Nets previously signed Henry Ellenson to a Two-Way contract.
