The Grizzlies are starting two rookies and have a third who is in the rotation. That scenario seems quite familiar to Memphis point guard Brevin Knight.

In 1997-98, Knight was one of three rookies who started for the Cavaliers, and the sixth man also was a rookie. The Cavs fashioned a 47-35 record, and seemed well on their way to being an NBA title contender.

It seems like so long ago.

``We're all everywhere now,'' Knight said.

Center Zydrunas Ilgauskas is the only rookie from that season remaining with the Cavs, but he has rarely played due to foot injuries. Forward Cedric Henderson is with Golden State after a stop in Philadelphia. Swingman Derek Anderson, the sixth man, is with Portland after passing through the Clippers and San Antonio. And Knight is in Memphis after a stop in Atlanta.

``We had fun every night with that team,'' Knight said. ``It's hard to get a group of guys like that who really connected to each other. We played hard for each other and we hoped that's what the league would be like. But then we got thrown into what the real NBA was like.''
