2018 NBA Mock Draft

1

seems like a lock here ,but I still give Luka a 25% chance to go

2
Luka Doncic, SG, Real Madrid (Spain)

Despite the rumors suggesting otherwise, I think they roll with Doncic

3

Strong possibility if Bamba or Young is their guy they trade down. If not I think they will go with the most complete package

4

Memphis strong candidate to trade down or out if they get a taker for Parsons contract, but with Bagley on the board, I think they keep it.

5

Tough call between Bamba and MPJ here

6

Young makes some sense, but I cannot see ORL passing on MPJ if they had the medical information, which I doubt they will and in this case don't see them passing on Sexton despite being a slight over pick who I think they like more long term than Young.

7

seems like this is going to be MPJ floor

8
Cleveland Cavaliers from Brooklyn via BOS

Probably trading this pick, but if not I don't think they will pass on the playmaker

9

few different options that make sense here, I'm rolling with Miles that most people have going after Mikal

10
Philadelphia Sixers from L.A. Lakers via PHX

WCJ a possibilty here, but Mikal checks all the boxes

11

Can't see WCJ falling past Charlotte in too many scenarios, but with Charlottes needs being different, I'm going with Knox

12

WCJ is a steal for the Clippers here

13

Brown is a solid play maker and a good fit

14

They have other needs and there is a strong possibility Denver trades out if they can unload faried, but with Williams on the board as a solid rim running athlete paired with the less athletic Jokic makes a lot of sense long term

15

Zhaire or Wagner could make sense here , but I think they will go with the versatile long combo guard

16
Phoenix Suns from Miami

Getting a pg here would be an over pick so I'm rolling with the defensive minded Zhaire

17

lot of boom or bust potential here with Walker but he projects to be a solid shooter with good defensive instinct despite needing some time to improve his iq on the floor.

18

several options here for SA with Leonard departure.I'm going with the 2 time Big East DPOY

19
Atlanta Hawks from Minnesota

Point guard could be a need if Schroder is moved, but I'm going with the combo guard who can offer a lot at both positions

20
Minnesota Timberwolves from Oklahoma City via UTA

Wolves need more shooters and Huerter has the athleticism to become a defender

21

despite being projected later, I think there is a solid chance Utah goes with the upside of Duval here

22
Chicago Bulls from New Orleans

If he has the work ethic this could be the steal of the draft paired next to Markannen

23

Divincenzo or Bruce Brown could make some sense here, but I'm going with the true pg

24

supposedly got a promise, I think this who gave it to him, also a possibility they trade out of the first

25
Los Angeles Lakers from Cleveland

has had some injuries but the athletic rebounding will be selling point here on Vanderbilt

26

This is the 1 place I think Spellman could go in the first aside from the rumors Boston likes him. Other possibility here is Grayson Allen

27

adding yet more defense

28

couple of options here and they could trade back to get out of the 1st.But Allen makes a tone of sense

29
Brooklyn Nets from Toronto

adding efficient shooters in the front court is likely their top priority

30
Dzanan Musa, GF, Cedevita (Croatia)
Atlanta Hawks from Houston via LAC

adding a shooter that is intl with their 3rd 1st round pick is a no brainer

31

Shamet could be a steal at the 1 guard as a decent distributor and despite not being a defender is one of the purest shooters in the draft with a lot of range

32

Milton can play both guard positions and easily back up Conley

33

Okogie also an option here

34

might not be a long term answer as the starting pg, but he can easily run a team in the meantime or back up Shroeder

35

Di Vincenzo could have had a first round promise, but I definitely don't see him falling past Orlando

36
New York Knicks from Chicago via OKC

Brown can create offense and play both guard positions adding another high level defender next to Ntilikina will make them potentially 1 of the strongest defensive pairings in the NBA

37

Kings roll with the upside of Simons as a scorer off the bench early in his career

38
Philadelphia Sixers from Brooklyn

no way Philly keeps all of their 2nd rounders , but for now lets assume the did.

39
Rodions Kurucs, SF, FC Barcelona Lassa (Spain)
Philadelphia Sixers from New York
40
Brooklyn Nets from L.A. Lakers via TOR and ORL

Jackson is a steal here due to injury

41
Orlando Magic from Charlotte via NYK and PHI

adding a front court shooter makes sense here

42

Might not last this long, but if he does, I think robinson makes some sense for Detroit. He can run the point or play off ball and score, just don't ask him to defend, hence the mid 2nd slot

43
Elie Okobo, G, Pau-Orthez (France)
Denver Nuggets from L.A. Clippers via NYK and PHI

can definitely see Okobo making sense for Denver if he is not taken sooner

44

Clark is a win now prospect that gives them a floor stretcher

45
Brooklyn Nets from Milwaukee

Don't see Okogie falling past this spot

46
Houston Rockets from Miami via MEM

Houston rolls the dice on his upside

47
Los Angeles Lakers from Denver via CHI and UTA

back up pick that will probably end up the starter

48

makes sense here with aging Gibson

49

SA type player

50

depth

51

Evans probably won't fall this far, but he makes a tone of sense in NO

52

Favors filler

53

under rated floor general that can really shoot

54
Dallas Mavericks from Portland via DEN

makes some sense long term

55
Charlotte Hornets from Cleveland via BKN and PHI

Crawford is pretty much a sleeper in this draft, and can contribute from day 1.

56
Isaac Bonga, GF, Fraport Skyliners (Germany)

stash

57

solid upside pick with high bb iq this late, fills some void if PG13 walks

58
Denver Nuggets from Golden State

Decent size 2 way wing

59
Phoenix Suns from Toronto

adding a high level rim protector back up to Ayton makes sense here

60
Philadelphia Sixers from Houston

Diallo will probably get drafted somewhere for his elite athletic abilty
