A columnist for the Denver Post has a stinging column about the Denver Nuggets new recruits done with a circus theme. Among the riper ripostes by Woody Paige (a made-up name for sure) is this about Isaiah Rider: "According to team officials, Rider was in Denver getting a physical. He should have gotten a mental, too. Maybe he should run away and join the circus as a clown. He has the credentials."  After ripping apart the signing of the third piece of the Great Wall of China, Paige continues with the big-top analogy. "There were unconfirmed reports that new general manager Kiki Vandeweghe was down the hall in the circus dressing rooms negotiating with five acrobats and tightrope walkers, three Russian bears, a lion tamer and the Human Cannonball who can take it to the hole."  If you are a Denver fan with some hope this year, don't read this but you have to enjoy lines like this anyways: "NBA teams are attracted to Rider with the same intrigue as all those men who married Elizabeth Taylor."
