$100 million may be a fortune but it won't always buy Allan Houston a spot on the court.
Jeff Van Gundy benched the ineffective Houston for the final 5:37 of the Knicks' 84-79 loss to the Bulls Saturday night. Houston, who signed a six-year, $100 million contract extension in July, admitted he wanted to return but understood Van Gundy's decision.
"I wanted to come back, but you trust that decision," said Houston, who was replaced by Shandon Anderson. "The guys that were in there hung in there and gave us a chance, and that's all you can ask.
