Forward Bryon Russell, who spent the first nine seasons of his career with the Jazz, signed a two-year contract with the Washington Wizards on Tuesday.
   
The 6-foot-7, 225-pound Russell averaged 9.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists with the Jazz last season. His career averages are 10.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
   
Russell "provides us with veteran experience that includes nine trips to the playoffs and two NBA Finals," Wizards general manager Wes Unseld said in a news release.
