Orlando Magic guard Steve Francis said he wasn't upset by fresh trade rumors involving him . . . but Stevie wonders.
"It ain't like I'm angry. If it happens, it happens," Francis said at Monday's pregame shoot-around. "But you also got to think that there's something to it when all the stuff comes out."
Magic General Manager Otis Smith said the team is not shopping Francis, but concedes that other teams have called.
Jeff Fried, Francis' agent, told the Sentinel on Jan. 18 that as many as six teams had called the Magic to inquire about Francis' availability. Fried said Monday that the Magic are not pushing for a trade, but other teams are interested "to make a deal for a player who can help them make a playoff push."
Added Magic Coach Brian Hill, "Why would we want to trade Steve the way he's playing now?"
