New York Knicks guard Miles McBride has been out since January 27 due to a core muscle injury. McBride had surgery to correct the issue, and the Knicks said they hoped he could return before the end of the regular season. Now, McBride is ramping up towards a return.
McBride went through his normal pregame routine before New York hosted the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday. McBride hasn't been upgraded on the injury report but appears to be closing in on a return.
Before the injury, McBride was putting together a career-year for the Knicks. The backup guard has averaged 12.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 28 minutes per game. McBride has also shot 42% on 6.9 three-point attempts per game.
