Carlos Boozer To Receive Interest From Nets, Mavs, Rockets, Lakers, Heat, Spurs

Carlos Boozer is expected to receive interest from at least six teams in free agency.

The Brooklyn Nets, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs have been mentioned as teams interested in Boozer.

Boozer spent the 14-15 season with the Lakers after being amnestied by the Chicago Bulls.

Darius Morris Waived By Nets

The Brooklyn Nets have requested waivers on guard Darius Morris.

Morris, who was originally signed as a free agent by the Nets on December 11, 2014, appeared in 38 games with Brooklyn during the 2014-15 season, averaging 2.2 points and 1.3 assists in 7.9 minutes per game.

The 41st overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers, Morris has appeared in 132 career games (17 starts) with Brooklyn, Memphis, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia and the Lakers, posting averages of 3.3 points and 1.4 assists in 11.1 minutes per game.

Nets Optimistic Of Finding Joe Johnson Trade This Offseason

The Brooklyn Nets and Memphis Grizzlies recently discussed a trade centered on Joe Johnson.

The two sides were unable to find a framework suitable for both side.

But the Nets came away from the discussions encouraged they will find a trade partner this offseason for Johnson.

Johnson will be paid $24.9 million in the final season of his contract.

The Charlotte Hornets and Detroit Pistons have also expressed interest in Johnson, but both teams have recently completed trades that would likely mean they won't deal for him.

Ryan Boatright Reaches Free-Agent Deal To Join Nets

Undrafted University of Connecticut guard Ryan Boatright has reached agreement on a free-agent deal with the Brooklyn Nets, a league source told RealGM.

Boatright will appear in the NBA Summer League with Brooklyn.

Boatright, a four-year standout at UConn and a starter on its 2014 NCAA championship team, averaged 17.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists this past season. The 6-foot guard also shot 41.1 percent from three-point range on over six attempts per game.

Boatright, 22, played his high school basketball in Aurora, Ill.

Lopez, Young Opt Out With Strong Probability Of Re-Signing With Nets

Brook Lopez has opted out of his contract for the 15-16 season with the Brooklyn Nets.

Lopez is seeking a three-year, $60 million contract with the Nets, though the agreement could include some financial protections for the team if there is a recurrence of his foot issues.

Lopez could agree upon a deal that includes a player option for the third season.

Both Lopez and Thaddeus Young opted out with strong intentions of reaching new deals with Brooklyn.

Young, 27, who opted out of $10.2 million owed him next season, is on course for a four-year, $48 million-plus deal in free agency.

French forward Jordan Aboudou has received invitations to NBA summer league with the Memphis Grizzlies, Brooklyn Nets and Dallas Mavericks as he negotiates his release from BCM Gravelines in France, a source told RealGM.

Aboudou, a 6-foot-6 product, averaged 6.1 points and 2.6 rebounds last season with Gravelines.

Aboudou went unselected in the 2013 NBA draft.
