LeBron Uses Twitter To Court Crawford, Nash

Oct 27, 2011 5:36 PM

LeBron James has openly courted Jamal Crawford and Steve Nash on Twitter.

NBA players are typically not allowed to court players under contract with other teams, but the lockout has suspended several rules such as that one.

"Would love to see @JCrossover in a Heat uni! What u guys say?" wrote James about Crawford.

Crawford is a free agent, which makes James' statement permissible under any circumstances.

But Nash remains under contract with the Suns.

"Maybe @SteveNash in a Heat uni! So we can help each other get our 1st ring."

Wojnarowski: Sarver Remains Hard-Lined On Changes

Oct 5, 2011 5:14 PM

Yahoo!'s Adrian Wojnarowski was interviewed on KDUS-AM on Wednesday and talked about Suns' owner Robert Sarver.

Sarver was described as a "dove" in negotiations, but has a long-standing reputation as one of the NBA's more cost-conscious owners.

"I think Sarver's been the most difficult," said Wojnarowski. "He has been really the last couple years in this. I quoted an owner, an ownership source, the other day in a story that he talks so much and says so many outlandish things in these meetings, people tune him out. You know him in Phoenix. He can erode his credibility by just opening his mouth very often. While he is the hardest line of the hard-liners, he is not going to dictate where this goes. He led the charge on wanting the hard cap, on wanting to get rid of the mid-level exception, but at the end of the day, he is not a powerful voice in that room. He's one of the last owners in. He's probably one of the least wealthy owners. And he's probably one of the owners who really have to honestly look at whether he should really own an NBA team. Does he have the wealth to really do it and do it right? I do think guys like Sarver are willing to lose the whole season."
