The Phoenix Suns have agreed to sign De'Anthony Melton to a guaranteed two-year deal worth $2.3 million.

Melton was the 46th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Melton was acquired from the Houston Rockets as part of the Brandon Knight-Ryan Anderson trade.

The Phoenix Suns have inquired with the Minnesota Timberwolves on a trade for Tyus Jones.

The Wolves also have Jeff Teague and Derrick Rose on their depth chart at point guard.

Phoenix has been searching for additional point guards throughout the offseason.

Devin Booker underwent successful surgery on Monday to repair an injury to the fifth metacarpophalangeal joint in his right hand.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Steven Shin at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles.

Booker’s expected recovery time is approximately six weeks.

The procedure is considered minor.

Booker signed a five-year, $158 million maximum contract extension with the Suns in July.

Boris Diaw has retired from basketball.

Diaw played 14 seasons in the NBA, winning a title with the San Antonio Spurs in 2014.

Diaw was named the 2006 Most Improved Player after his breakthrough season with the Phoenix suns.
