Kristaps Porzingis is planning to sign a one-year qualifying offer in restricted free agency with the Dallas Mavericks this summer.

Porzingis, along with Tim Hardaway Jr. and Courtney Lee, was traded to the Mavs for Dennis Smith Jr., Wesley Matthews, and DeAndre Jordan.

If Porzingis were to sign the qualifying offer, he would then become an unrestricted free agent at the end of next season.

The Houston Rockets will waive James Nunnally to create a roster space for Kenneth Faried.

Nunnally was recently signed by the Rockets to a 10-day contract.

The Washington Wizards have signed guard Gary Payton II to a 10-day contract.

Payton II (6-3, 190) has spent this season with the G League’s Rio Grande Valley Vipers, averaging 19.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 3.4 steals in 13 games. He has appeared in 29 games (six starts) and has averaged 3.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists over his two-year NBA career with the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers.

Carmelo Anthony has multiple options available as he remains in limbo after being away from the Houston Rockets for several months. Anthony last played on Nov. 8 and is expected to resolve his situation around the trade deadline.

Anthony signed a one-year, $2.4 million deal with the Rockets this offseason.

It remains uncertain whether Anthony will be traded, or waived and subsequently signed.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been linked with Anthony.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed guard Cameron Payne to a second 10-day contract.

Payne (6-3, 190) signed his first 10-day contract with the Cavaliers on January 6th and has appeared in four games, averaging 8.8 points on .500 shooting from the field and 2.8 assists in 17.7 minutes per contest. Prior to joining the Cavs, he played in 31 games (12 starts) for the Chicago Bulls this season with averages of 5.7 points and 2.7 assists in 17.3 minutes per game.

The Rockets were unable to agree to terms with Danuel House on a standard NBA contract this week, which gives them an unfilled roster spot.

Nunnally was recently waived by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Rockets had interest in Nunnally in the offseason.

The Dallas Mavericks are not expected to offer DeAndre Jordan a multi-year contract this offseason, according to sources.

The Mavericks don't believe Jordan has been the same player they thought he was when they also pursued him in 2015.

Jordan will turn 31 this summer.

The Houston Rockets have interest in signing James Nunnally to a 10-day contract.

The Memphis Grizzlies have signed Julian Washburn to a Two-Way contract while waiving Jarnell Stokes.

Washburn (6-8, 210) has appeared in 23 games (18 starts) this season with the NBA G League’s Austin Spurs and has averaged 10.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 31.6 minutes while shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from three-point range.

Stokes (6-9, 260) appeared in two games (one start) with the Grizzlies’ NBA G League affiliate, the Memphis Hustle, after signing a two-way contract with the Grizzlies on Jan. 1. 

The Philadelphia 76ers have signed Corey Brewer to a 10-day contract.

Brewer appeared in 72 games (18 starts) last season with the Lakers and Oklahoma City, averaging 5.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 16.8 minute per game. After signing with the Thunder on March 3, 2018, Brewer went on to start 16 of his 18 regular-season games in Oklahoma City, increasing his averages across the board. He started each of the Thunder’s six postseason games against Utah.

For his career, Brewer has played in 783 games (307 starts) with Minnesota, Dallas, Denver and Houston, in addition to the Lakers and Oklahoma City.
