Josh Powell signed with the Genebra Kings of Philippines, the club announced Monday.

Powell had spent the season playing in the Chinese Basketball Association.

Powell was in training camp with the New York Knicks in October.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed Scotty Hopson using their prorated $2.5 million room exception with a non-guaranteed second season at $2.5 million.

Hopson has played in Greece, Israel and Turkey since going undrafted out of Tennessee in 2011.

Brown had 18 points, making 6 of 6 two-point shots, and 6 of 8 from the foul line. Brown also had a career-high seven assists, along with five rebounds, three steals, one block and drew six fouls, adding up to a performance index rating of 34, which was the best of any player this week. 

Rodrigue Beaubois has signed with Belgacom Spirou Basket of Belgium for the rest of the season, the club announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Beaubois reportedly discussed a potential 10-day contract with the Boston Celtics in late February.

Beaubois averaged 7.1 points in four seasons with the Dallas Mavericks.

Jamario Moon has signed with Guaros de Lara of Venezuela.

Moon was most recently with Olympiacos in Greece, but he was released earlier in the month.

Moon has spent parts of the 12-13 and 13-14 season in the D-League.

The NBL in Australia has begun the process of adding a second team in Melbourne for the 15-16 season.

The NBL are looking for a second Melbourne team in the South East Melbourne area and are open to possibly reviving the old South East Melbourne Magic name.

Chris Anstey, Sam Mackinnon, Rob Rose, Adonis Jordan and Bruce Bolden played for the Magic.

Beyond the second Melbourne team, the NBL also have plans for Canberra, Brisbane and Hobart to re-enter the league.

French prospect Mouhammadou Jaiteh will declare his name into the June NBA draft and gauge feedback to frame a decision on whether to stay, a source told RealGM.

Jaiteh had submitted eligibility in last year’s draft, before pulling out late in the withdrawing window. Multiple teams late in the first round and early in the second round expressed a significant interest in selecting Jaiteh, but under the condition of stashing the 6-foot-11 big man overseas.

Jaiteh, 19, possesses one more year in which he could withdraw from the draft and plans to approach the process and workouts as if he will most likely remain part of the 2014 class.

Jaiteh has experienced inconsistent play in the European League and Eurocup with JSF Nanterre, where he’s received an escalation in competition. He’ll return to the U.S. for training once his team’s playoffs end.

For the season, Jaiteh has averaged 5.2 points and 3.9 rebounds.

The Philadelphia 76ers have signed guard Casper Ware to a 10-day contract.

Since graduating from Long Beach State in 2012, Ware has played in Italy. He spent the 2012-13 season with A.S. Junior Casale and was named MVP of Legadue Basket. This season, Ware played for Virtus Bologna of Lega Basket Serie A.

Rudy Fernandez led Real Madrid to a crucial 93-79 victory over CSKA Moscow and was named Euroleague MVP for Round 11 of the Top 16.

Having already taken the honor in Top 16 Round 3, it is the second weekly MVP award of the season for Fernandez, and the sixth of his Euroleague career.  

Fernandez finished with 28 points by shooting 5-of-9 on two-pointers, 4-of-7 on three-pointers and converted all 6 of his attempts from the free throw line. Fernandez added four rebounds, three assists and four steals to compile a performance index rating of 33, the highest of any player on a winning team this week.
