Jones III Was Motivated By Suspension To Remain At Baylor

Oct 8, 2011 11:48 AM

Perry Jones III made a somewhat surprising decision to return to Baylor for his sophomore season.

Jones III was suspended at the end of his freshman season for receiving improper benefits from his AAU Coach.

“Being suspended made me want to come back even more because I never got to play in the postseason, and that was something I wanted to experience,” Jones says. “I’m still here, and if things don’t go the way I want to this year, then I’ll come back another year.”

Oct 3, 2011 3:53 PM

Andre Drummond will not receive a penalty for his appearing promoting a new adidas shoe, Connecticut announced on Monday.

"UConn has officially concluded that no violation has occurred and that freshman Andre Drummond will suffer no eligibility consequence relative to the report last week about an online video," UConn spokesman Kyle Muncy said in a statement.

Drummond, a Middletown native and former St. Thomas More standout, appeared in the video at a camp last summer in Houston along with Kris Dunn who is a Providence recruit.
