Klay Thompson is undergoing tests over the next few days to determine the severity of an apparent lower leg injury. Thompson was unable to place weight on his lower leg while leaving the gym. Thompson was playing pickup in downtown Los Angeles with Myles Turner, Christian Wood and others present.

Shams Charania reported on Stadium shortly before the start of the draft that the injury is believed to be in the heel area.

Thompson suffered a torn ACL in his left knee in Game 6 of the 2019 Finals and missed the entire 19-20 season.

Thompson re-signed with the Golden State Warriors on a five-year, $190 million max contract on July 1, 2019.

Chris Hayes of Yahoo! Sports reports late Wednesday evening that the fear is that Thompson suffered a significant Achilles injury. Thompson will undergo an MRI on Thursday morning.
