Agent: Durant In Negotiations With Turkish Team

Thunder forward Kevin Durant is in the early stages of contract negotiations with the same Turkish team that has signed Deron Williams and has been pursuing Kobe Bryant, according to Durant's agent.

Agent Aaron Goodwin told ESPN.com on Tuesday night that he has met with officials from Turkish club Besiktas and has likewise begun exploring opportunities for Durant in Spain and Russia.

Goodwin added that playing in China is not something Durant is considering at this time.

Durant has played in several exhibition games this summer.

Besiktas Makes Official Offer To Kobe, Follow-Up Meeting Scheduled For Friday

Besiktas reportedly made an official offer to Kobe Bryant's agent, Rob Pelinka, during a meeting in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Ismail Senol of NBA TV in Turkey characterized the meeting as 'positive'.

Bryant reportedly was not present at the meeting.

The two sides will meet again on Friday.

Kobe To Meet With Besiktas President

Kobe Bryant and his agent Rob Pelinka will meet with Besiktas president Yıldırım Demirören on Thursday in Los Angeles.

Bryant has expressed a willingness to play overseas, but various media reports put the likelihood of him signing with Besiktas at zero percent.

Kobe Hasn't Talked To Besiktas In Weeks

According to an NBA.com report, a source involved in the negotiations between Kobe Bryant and Besiktas placed the chance of Bryant playing there as of Sunday at "zero percent."

That would contradict a statement made earlier in the week by Seref Yalcin, the head of basketball operations for Besiktas, who said there was a "50 percent" chance that Bryant would come to Turkey, according to a Reuters report.

"I haven't spoken to Besiktas in weeks," Bryant said at a news conference Sunday.

Bryant remains interested in playing overseas.

"I'm just waiting for my phone to ring. Here it is," said Bryant, who set his phone on the table at his press conference in Washington D.C., on Sunday. "I will play anywhere."

"You probably know more about that than I do," Bryant said. "... I've been touring. I get the Internet. I'm computer literate, so I can read on the Internet, and I read a lot of things and hear a lot of things. To be honest with you, that's the first time I hear those things. So, I'll let you decipher what that means, but a lot of that stuff is news to me."
