Maggette was traded to the Bobcats this offseason.

Giorgi Shermadini has returned to Panathinaikos after one year on loan to Ljubljana Union Olimpija.

Shermadini averaged 7.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game last season.

Brady Morningstar, former Kansas guard, likely will be playing for a professional team in Greece during the 2011-12 season.

Morningstar acknowledged Sunday that Internet reports tying him to the top league in Greece were correct.

Jon Diebler has signed with Panionios of the A1 Greek Basketball League.

The Blazers selected Diebler with the 51st pick in June's NBA draft.

Portland had considered exploring an overseas option for Diebler in order for the former Ohio State swingman to develop his game.
