French forward Jordan Aboudou has received invitations to NBA summer league with the Memphis Grizzlies, Brooklyn Nets and Dallas Mavericks as he negotiates his release from BCM Gravelines in France, a source told RealGM.
Aboudou, a 6-foot-6 product, averaged 6.1 points and 2.6 rebounds last season with Gravelines.
Aboudou went unselected in the 2013 NBA draft.
The Brooklyn Nets and San Antonio Spurs have interest in acquiring the rights to Sasha Kaun.
Kaun was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2008 out of Kansas, but he's since been playing in Russia for CSKA Moscow.
Kaun would like to finally play in the NBA.
Dario Saric won't play for the Philadelphia 76ers next season.
Saric was the 12th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft and is under a three-year contract with Anadolu Efes of Turkey.
The Sixers reportedly have attempted to negotiate a buyout over the past month, but Saric's buyout is too expensive to make the move practical, according to sources.
Saric has a player option on his contract that will technically allow him to come to the NBA for the 2016-17 season. However, there will be a big incentive for him to stay in Turkey for a third year and wait until the 2017-18 season to play in the NBA.
Saric won't be bound by the rookie scale if he waits three years to come to the NBA as Nikola Mirotic did last summer with the Chicago Bulls.
Youssou Ndoye, a possible selection in the second round of the NBA Draft, has made plans as a player willing to sign overseas in order to create opportunities as a draft-and-stash pick, a league source told RealGM.
Out of Senegal, the seven-foot Ndoye has played basketball for just the last seven years of his life. In recent drafts, many American prospects have declined the request of NBA teams to be selected late in the second round only if the player accepts being stashed overseas for at least one season. Ndoye, however, is prepared to play overseas in such a scenario.
Ndoye has worked out for the Philadelphia 76ers, Memphis Grizzlies, Dallas Mavericks, Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks and Miami Heat, with visits remaining to teams that include the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers, Utah Jazz and Washington Wizards.
Ndoye, 23, averaged 11.8 points and 10.1 rebounds in his senior season at St. Bonaventure. He played at the Portsmouth Invitational in April.
Veteran center Kyrylo Fesenko has agreed to a one-year contract with Lokomotiv Kuban of the VTB League, bypassing a workout with the Toronto Raptors, sources told RealGM.
Fesenko, a five-year reserve in the NBA, will sign a lucrative deal with the Russian team. He was among the big men invited to the Raptors’ free-agent camp later this month.
Fesenko played his NBA seasons with the Utah Jazz and Indiana Pacers between 2007 and 2012, averaging 2.3 points, two rebounds and 8.2 minutes per game in 135 contests.
The 7-foot-1 Fesenko went to training camp with the Minnesota Timberwolves last October and the Chicago Bulls in 2012.
Fesenko’s agency, Klutch Sports Group, also represents Levi Randolph, a guard prospect who has drawn interest in pre-draft workouts over the past few weeks. Randolph averaged 15.4 points as a senior at Alabama this past season.
Ante Tomic remains undecided about his NBA plans.
Tomic was drafted by the Utah Jazz in 2008 and they would like to bring him over to help their frontcourt rotation.
"It’s neither yes nor no," Tomic told the Spanish publication Gigantes when asked whether he plans to leave Barcelona for the NBA and the Utah Jazz. "It’s difficult to summarize. Sometimes I see myself there and others no. I still have time to think it over."
Tomic has played for Barcelona since 2012 and is already 28 years old.
Andrei Kirilenko has decided to retire from professional basketball.
Kirilenko wasn't invited to join Russia's squad for EuroBasket 2015.
Kirilenko joined the Utah Jazz in 2001 and was an All-Star in 2004. Kirilenko played for CSKA during the lockout and then returned to the NBA to play for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Brooklyn Nets. Kirilenko was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers this season and he never reported to the team.
