Trae Young had his one-month follow-up evaluation on Monday and is making progress in his recovery from when he sustained a left fifth finger torn ligament on Feb. 23 and underwent surgery on Feb. 27.

As the next step of his rehabilitation, Young will introduce small finger motion exercises this week. 

The Atlanta Hawks will almost certainly finish the regular season with either the ninth or 10th seed and be in the play-in.

Jalen Johnson left Monday’s game at the Los Angeles Lakers in the fourth quarter due to a right ankle sprain.

Johnson will be re-evaluated in one week and his status will be updated as appropriate.

Saddiq Bey has suffered a torn ACL in his left knee.

Bey, who is a restricted free agent in the offseason, will miss the rest of the season.

Bey averaged 13.7 points and 6.5 rebounds in his first full season with the Atlanta Hawks.

Atlanta Hawks forward Saddiq Bey left Sunday's loss vs the New Orleans Pelicans due to a hyperextended left knee. Postgame, Hawks coach Quin Snyder said he didn't have any update on how much time Bey might miss.

Atlanta is already playing without starters Trae Young and Jalen Johnson, and top frontcourt reserve Onyeka Okongwu.

Jalen Johnson will miss the Atlanta Hawks' game on Friday against the Memphis Grizzlies with a sprained ankle.

X-rays on the ankle returned negative, with Johnson listed as day-to-day.

The Hawks also announced that Onyeka Okongwu has transitioned out of a walking boot and will be re-evaluated in 7-10 days.

The Charlotte Hornets have hired Dotun Akinwale as an assistant general manager under Jeff Peterson. 

Akinwale was VP of player personnel with the Atlanta Hawks.

The Hornets recently hired Peterson to run their front office.

Trae Young was asked how he feels about trade rumors and potentially leaving the Atlanta Hawks. Young made it clear he wants to win, but that he wants to do it in Atlanta.

"For me, my whole vision was to always be here - like my whole goal is to win here," Young said. "Win championships, bring people here with me and build this, this championship here and dynasty here. But who knows? Like it's year six now and who knows? Like, for me, I want that."

Young was asked to clarify that he wants to stay with the Hawks, and he confirmed that desire.

"Yeah, I mean, yeah, you've heard it from the source, like I wanna win but that's what you've heard too. Like I just wanna win," Young answered. "So that's, that's in Atlanta. That's, that's where I wanna be, that's where I envision myself being. But that's, that's it. That's it."

Patty Mills has agreed to sign with the Miami Heat for the remainder of the season.

Mills was recently waived by the Atlanta Hawks after appearing in 19 games.

The Heat also signed Delon Wright following a buyout this season. 

Dylan Windler signed a Two-Way contract with the Atlanta Hawks on Monday, reported Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The 27-year-old was waived by the Lakers on Saturday and has appeared in 11 games this season.
