Ben Gordon and the Charlotte Bobcats continue dialogue on a buyout.

The Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets are pitching two-year deals with a team option for 14-15. Gordon would prefer a deal that does not impact his free agency.

Kemba Walker and Kevin Love have been named the NBA Players of the Week.

Walker led the Bobcats to a 4-0 week behind averages of 22.5 points (tied for seventh in the conference), 8.8 assists (second in the conference) and 5.5 rebounds. 

Love helped the Timberwolves to a 2-1 behind a league-best 36.7 ppg and 12.7 rpg (fourth in the league). 

The Charlotte Bobcats and Milwaukee Bucks have agreed upon a Gary Neal trade.

Ramon Sessions and Jeff Adrien will go to the Bucks for Neal and Luke Ridnour.

Neal signed with the Bucks in the offseason after becoming a key rotational player for the San Antonio Spurs.

The Milwaukee Bucks have steadily progressed with several teams in discussions on a trade of Gary Neal and await a franchise to advance toward completion, a league source told RealGM.

Neal has remained prepared for a change of scenery on a playoff contender, and the Bucks’ front office has worked hard to find an amicable trade to part ways. No deal is imminent, and there’s strong belief negotiations will push Thursday’s afternoon deadline.

A free agent signing of the Bucks last July, Neal quickly fell out of the rotation and has gone large portions of the season without receiving playing time. He achieved individual and team success as a sharpshooting reserve for the San Antonio Spurs from 2010 to 2013, averaging 9.4 points on 47 percent three-point shooting in last year’s NBA Finals.

For the 29-year-old, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Charlotte Bobcats appeal as two of several interested organizations.

Neal is averaging 10 points in 30 games this season. The 6-foot-4 guard has been showcased over the past three contests, scoring nearly 14 points per game.

The Charlotte Bobcats have discussed a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers for Pau Gasol.

A source downplayed the seriousness of the talks due to the Lakers' price of a first round pick. The Bobcats are unlikely to give up a pick for Gasol unless they viewed him as a long-term investment. Gasol turns 34 in July and is playing in his 15th NBA season.

When the then-New Orleans Hornets traded away Tyson Chandler to the Charlotte Bobcats for Emeka Okafor, Chris Paul and David West began privately discussing the possibility of leaving the franchise.

"[Paul] knew I was going to leave because I knew he was leaving. We had open conversations about that," West said. "The writing was on the wall probably the season, two seasons before that last year."

Paul embraced New Orleans, but the franchise was in turmoil for much of his tenure.

"The toughest thing was the instability. You just never knew what would have happen," Paul said.

Paul's brother, C.J. Paul, said the "final straw" was when West informed them he wouldn't re-sign in free agency.

"We had talked about possibly sticking together. But once he realized that I was gone, I knew he was definitely going to check out," West said. "It was time for us to find new space."

Said Chris Paul: "I missed David West. My partner. My right hand man."

Paul returns to New Orleans this weekend for the All-Star Game as a member of the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Boston Celtics continue to discuss trades, most notably a deal involving Brandon Bass.

The Charlotte Bobcats, Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns are interested in Bass.

"You can't let that affect your game," Bass told CSNNE.com earlier. "You just have to go out and play your game, do what you do and whatever happens, happens." 

"Most guys that have been around this league, if you're worth anything you're involved in trade rumors, you're involved in discussions," said Danny Ainge. "It's just part of the world we live in. I don't know what you can do except just play."

The San Antonio Spurs and Charlotte Bobcats are two teams that could pursue Evan Turner via trade, according to a rival executive.

Turner will be a restricted free agent in the offseason if the Philadelphia 76ers elect to extend the qualifying offer, which makes their price of a first round pick in exchange for Turner a difficult decision.

The Charlotte Bobcats have looked into acquiring Evan Turner, according to a source. No deal is imminent.

The Philadelphia 76ers are open to trading Turner for future assets.

Turner is averaging 18.1 points and six rebounds this season. He could potentially add the scoring punch the Bobcats need to reach the playoffs.
