Hornets To Wear Jordan Brand Next Season

The Charlotte Hornets will wear Jordan Brand uniforms next season.

With Nike taking over the NBA's contract from Adidas, the Hornets will be the only team wearing Jordan Brand.

Michael Jordan became controlling owner of the Hornets in 2010.

Hornets Decline 17-18 Option On Christian Wood

The Charlotte Hornets have declined their team option on Christian Wood for the 17-18 season.

Wood will be an unrestricted free agent.

Wood appeared in 13 games with the Hornets in 16-17 after spending 15-16 with the Phoenix Suns. Wood averaged 2.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.5 blocks in 8.2 minutes per game.

The Charlotte Hornets have decided to pick up their option for the 17-18 season on the contract of Rich Cho.

Cho has been general manager of the Hornets since the 11-12 season.

Cho previously worked for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Portland Trail Blazers.

Patrick Ewing has agreed to become head coach of Georgetown.

Ewing will immediately assume his duties with the Hoyas and leave the Charlotte Hornets' coaching staff.

Ewing had been trying to find a head coaching job in the NBA.

Patrick Ewing To Interview For Georgetown Job

Patrick Ewing will formally interview for Georgetown's head coaching vacancy.

Ewing is currently associate head coach of the Charlotte Hornets and has long been seeking an NBA head coaching job.

Ewing attended Georgetown where he played for John Thompson Jr. Thompson has been a proponent of hiring Ewing despite the fact that his son, John Thompson III, was fired from the job.

Ewing was close to receiving an offer last offseason for the Sacramento Kings' job.

Ewing has proven himself to be a tenacious worker and engaged tactician in the NBA.
