No Real Trade Market Right Now For Andre Drummond

Jan 29, 2020 9:28 PM

The Detroit Pistons continue to evaluate trade offers for Andre Drummond, but a deal has been slow to materialize.

"The market has been really slow for Andre Drummond," Adrian Wojnarowski told Stephen A. Smith.

The Pistons expect Drummond to decline his player option for the 20-21 season. The Pistons would like a first round pick for Drummond, but also would like second round picks.

"This is a player right now who has been quiet. It may pick up between now and the trade deadline, but there is not a real market out there right now Drummond," added Wojnarowski.

Andre Drummond's Extension Demands Kept Hawks From Offering First Round Pick To Pistons

Jan 23, 2020 11:49 AM

The Atlanta Hawks were close to trading for Andre Drummond with an offer of Chandler Parsons and a 2020 first round pick from the Brooklyn Nets to the Detroit Pistons.

The Hawks, however, were unwilling to ultimately add the pick because Drummond's contract extension demands were too high for them.

Drummond is on a $27 million contract this season and is scheduled to earn $28.7 million next season if he were to opt in.

While the center position has been devalued in recent seasons, Drummond could be one of the more attractive players in a limited free agent market in 2020.

The New York Knicks have no interest in trading for Andre Drummond, according to a source that spoke with Marc Berman of the New York Post.

Hawks, Pistons End Andre Drummond Trade Talks

Jan 16, 2020 2:58 PM

The Atlanta Hawks have broken off trade talks with the Detroit Pistons on Andre Drummond.

Both sides were optimistic a deal could eventually be agreed upon involving Drummond.

The Hawks will instead remain patient with options available to them to improve at the draft and during free agency.

Detroit would have received Damian Jones, Chandler Parsons or Allen Crabbe (who was dealt to Minnesota on Thursday) and a first-round pick for Drummond.

Drummond is expected to be come a free agent and decline his $28.8 million player option for 20-21.

The Pistons are still fielding trade calls on Drumond.

The Hawks have all of their own first round picks in addition to a 2020 from the Nets and a 2022 from the Thunder.

Andre Drummond Receiving Trade Interest From Multiple Teams

Jan 12, 2020 11:52 AM

Andre Drummond is receiving interest from multiple teams ahead of the February trade deadline, league sources told Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press.

Drummond is expected to be traded before the deadline.

Ellis adds that the Pistons tried to initiate trade conversations with the Knicks featuring a package built around Frank Ntilikina and Julius Randle.

Drummond requested a max contract extension with the Pistons last summer, though the team countered with an offer that was "significantly less" than what Drummond's demands.
