Pat Riley is disappointed that the Heat's extensive efforts to land Grizzlies' guard/forward Mike Miller at the trade deadline came up with nothing, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel is reporting.

"It was really hard for me," Riley said before Saturday's game against the 76ers. "I'm one of those guys, I keep anteing up. I'll tell the guy to tell me exactly what you want."

"I said, 'Put it out there. Tell me exactly what you want. Give me your dream deal.' I could never get them to give me the dream deal. I don't think, at the very end, they wanted to do it."

According to the report, Miami even agreed to take on the additional two years, at $14 million total, of seldom-used Memphis forward Brian Cardinal for the expiring contracts of guard Jason Williams and forward Ricky Davis.

The Grizzlies waived forward Marcus Vinicius, club General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Wallace announced today.

The 6-8, 225-pound forward was acquired in a three-team trade on February 21. Memphis received Vinicius from the New Orleans Hornets along with the draft rights to Malick Badiane and cash considerations from the Houston Rockets. In return, the Grizzlies sent the draft rights to Sergei Lishouk to the Rockets.

Having already involved themselves in a good number of trades this season, the Memphis Grizzlies will probably stand pat as they head into the final hours of the NBA's dealing season, according to the Memphis Commercial-Appeal.

Numerous teams are interested in Mike Miller and Kyle Lowry, but they aren't likely to be traded.

"We value these guys," GM Chris Wallace told the Commercial-Appeal on Wednesday. "We have not committed to any deals. There's nothing that I would consider imminent. If I had to put odds on it, I'd say it's more unlikely than likely that we'll do something."

The Houston Rockets are set to send Bonzi Wells and Mike James to New Orleans for Bobby Jackson, the Houston Chronicle is reporting.

The deal has grown into a three team trade, the report indicates, with Memphis being involved but not appearing to be a major player.  The trade has been submitted to the league, pending approval.

The Rockets will also receive rookie guard Adam Haluska and either their own or New Orleans' second-round pick, whichever is greater.

Memphis will receive forward Marcus Vinicius.

According to the Commercial Appeal, the Clippers and Nuggets are the two teams making the most serious push to acquire Mike Miller and Kyle Lowry from the Grizzlies.

"I don't worry about it," Lowry said. "It's my agent's job to worry about it. My job is to go out there and play for the Grizzlies. I'm too young to worry about getting traded."

According to Sports Illustrated columnist Ian Thomsen, Mike Miller's name has been linked to the Indiana Pacers.

According to Thomsen, the Pacers and Grizzlies have had discussions in which Indiana would send Ike Diogu and Marquis Daniels to Memphis for Miller.

Cavaliers' guard Daniel Gibson was cheered on by teammate LeBron James for every one of the eleven three pointers he made on Friday night, giving Gibson 33 points, the MVP trophy, and the Sophomores a 136-109 win over the Rookies.

Gibson's 11 threes surpassed the previous record of seven, held by Jazz guard Kyle Korver.

Memphis guard Rudy Gay finished with 22 points on 9 for 12 shooting while Kevin Durant led the rookies with 23 points and 8 rebounds.

The New Jersey Nets may make another deal with the Memphis Grizzlies before next week's trade deadline, according to the New York Post.

The team is reportedly talking with the Grizzlies about a deal for guard Mike Miller. New Jersey is willing to send a package to Memphis that includes Jamaal Magloire and Bostjan Nachbar.

Shawn Marion is not expected by Heat management to opt out of his contract this summer.

Pat Riley said Tuesday, "If the right deal surfaces in the next 10 days, we wouldn't be averse to acquiring a player with multiple years left on his contract. But nothing like that is out there right now".

The Heat reportedly has been linked to Memphis' Mike Miller, but Riley said he hasn't 'talked about any of that stuff.'
