Harris Safe In Milwaukee

Apr 24, 2007 12:38 PM

Despite a disappointing season marred by injury, Bucks' owner Herb Kohl will not make any significant changes to his front office.

"I tend to be optimistic," Kohl said of GM Larry Harris' future. "I tend to give people as much and even more room as they need to be successful. That has worked well in my career.

"I think Larry has done a good job. He has not been perfect, but neither have I. But he has the potential to be a good general manager. He's young in his career; this was his first job.

"But this is a very important summer, and this next year is a very important year."

Apr 18, 2007 12:54 AM

LeBron James will certainly be scoreboard watching in the season finale, doing all he can to help Cleveland win while pulling for New Jersey to keep alive Cleveland's shot at the No. 2 seed.

"We've got to take care of business on our home court," James said. "We'll be rooting for the Nets."

Larry Hughes scored 22 points and James had 18 to lead Cleveland to a 98-92 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night, allowing the Cavaliers to play for second in the Eastern Conference.

The Cavaliers could move up to No. 2 if they beat Milwaukee on Wednesday night and New Jersey beats Chicago, also on Wednesday.

Redd To Miss Remainder Of The Season With Knee Injury

Apr 9, 2007 9:47 PM

Bucks leading scorer Michael Redd will miss the final six games of the season with a nagging left knee injury.

Redd, who missed three of the Bucks' previous five games because of soreness in his knee, apparently aggravated the injury in Milwaukee's loss to New York on Saturday night.

Redd also missed 20 games earlier this season with a strained left patellar tendon. The Bucks are 4-19 in games without Redd.

"After consulting with our team physicians, the best course of action for Michael going forward is to rest and rehabilitate his knee," Bucks general manager Larry Harris said. "We expect him to make a full recovery."
