The Oklahoma City Thunder have traded for Paul George from the Indiana Pacers for a package including Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis.

The Pacers have been attempting to trade George after he informed management he intended to leave the franchise in 2018 to join the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers, Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers were amongst the teams attempting to trade for George.

According to Jeff Goodman, the Celtics' offer on draft night for George was three first round picks (not Brooklyn's or the Lakers/Kings pick) and two starters (including Jae Crowder).

The Oklahoma City Thunder are expected to have interest in signing Michael Carter-Williams in free agency.

The Chicago Bulls declined to tender a qualifying offer to Carter-Williams in free agency.

Carter-Williams has struggled to remain a productive NBA player since winning Rookie of the Year in 2014.

Oklahoma City has luxury tax concerns in re-signing Andre Roberson this offseason.

The New York Knicks are internally considering Sam Presti for their general manager vacancy.

The Oklahoma City Thunder would likely require compensation from the Knicks for allowing Presti out of his contract.

Presti became general manager of the Seattle SuperSonics in 2007.

While Presti has an excellent track record in the draft, the Thunder struggled to build out an adequate supporting cast around Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Rudy Gay will hold free agent meetings in Austin, Texas.

The Oklahoma City Thunder, who showed interest in trading for Gay previously, continue to see a fit for him.

Gay declined his $14.3 million player option with the Sacramento Kings despite suffering a ruptured Achilles.

Gay is believed to have made significant progress in his rehab.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have exercised their $1.5 million team option on Jerami Grant.

The Thunder could have declined Grant's option and he would have become a restricted free agent. Grant will become an unrestricted free agent in 2018.

The Thunder acquired Grant from the Philadelphia 76ers for Ersan Ilyasova and a future first round pick (top-20 protected) at the start of the 16-17 season.

Grant averaged 5.5 points and 2.6 rebounds in 19.1 minutes per game in his third NBA season.

Following his win of Most Valuable Player of the 16-17 regular season, Russell Westbrook was asked whether he's ready to commit to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Westbrook can sign a supermax contract beginning on July 1st.

"Man, tonight is so important for me, and obviously with the contract and stuff coming up, it's not really on my mind at the moment honestly," said Westbrook. "I'm just overwhelmed with a tremendous amount of blessings I've been able to get to be able to get this award. Man, I'm just thinking about tonight, and then after that, I'll move on."

If Westbrook doesn't agree upon an extension, the Thunder are expected to explore their trade options.

Westbrook signed an extension last summer that committed one additional season to the Thunder.

Russell Westbrook has been named the 16-17 NBA Most Valuable Player.

James Harden and Kawhi Leonard were the other finalists for the award.

Westbrook joins Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Derrick Rose and Dirk Nowitzki as active players who have won MVP.

Westbrook averaged a triple double for the season and also led the NBA in PER.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have tendered a qualifying offer to Andre Roberson, making him a restricted free agent.

Roberson's qualifying offer is worth approximately $4.59 million.

Roberson, who was the 26th overall pick in 2013, became a starter in his second season. Roberson has since become one of the NBA's best wing defenders, though his perimeter shooting is a problematic part of his game.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to sign Rashawn Thomas to a partially guaranteed deal.

Thomas declined multiple offers from teams in Europe.

Thomas averaged 22.5 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.6 steals and 2.0 blocks per game as a senior at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Thomas was an All-Southland First Team selection in 2016 and 2017.

Kevin Durant was spotted at JaVale McGee's charity softball game wearing a hat featuring a cupcake with a ring on top of it. When Durant signed with the Warriors on July 4th, 2016, Russell Westbrook posted a photo of cupcakes on Instagram, which was an inside joke he and Durant had with former teammate Kendrick Perkins.
