The Orlando Magic have claimed Chris Copeland off waivers.

Copeland was waived last week by the Milwaukee Bucks to create a roster spot for Steve Novak.

The Magic plan on waiving Copeland within the next 24 hours as the move was made for cap reasons. Copeland signed a guaranteed $1.1 million deal with the Bucks last offseason.

The Los Angeles Clippers discussed a trade of CJ Wilcox in multiple scenarios.

The Clippers held talks with the Orlando Magic on Wilcox by offering Shabazz Napier.

The Clippers also discussed a Wilcox for Tony Snell deal that would have also cost Doc Rivers a second round pick.

“I think he can shoot. I think he can play. He has a lot of guys in front of him,” Rivers said, “… but, I still think he can really play. He’s a great kid, a high-character kid. He works hard at it.

“And I think that’s a kid that you hang on to.”

The Chicago Bulls and Orlando Magic are in talks on a Shabazz Napier trade.

The Magic acquired Napier from the Miami Heat last year.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will acquire Channing Frye from the Orlando Magic.

The Magic also discussed a Frye deal with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Anderson Varejao will be part of the trade, ending up with the Portland Trail Blazers. The Blazers will also acquire a conditional first round pick from the Cavaliers while sending a second round pick to the Magic, according ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

Portland will waive Tim Frazier to clear a roster spot for Varejao, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Jared Cunningham will also be traded by the Cavaliers to the Magic, though he will be waived.

The Magic could now have $45 million in cap space in July, according to Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel.

Cleveland will save the Cavaliers more than $10 million in salary and taxes this season with the move, according to McMenamin.

Adrian Wojnarowski reports the Blazers will likely waive Varejao.

Varejao has a five percent trade kicker in his contract worth an extra $626,835, according to ESPN's Marc Stein. Dan Fegan negotiated a three-year, $30 million extension with the Cavaliers in 2014. The deal is non-guaranteed for the 17-18 season.

Frye reportedly agreed to sign with the Cavaliers in 2014 but the team ran out of cap space when LeBron James returned.

The Los Angeles Clippers remain unwilling to commit to a deal with the Orlando Magic on Channing Frye.

Lance Stephenson would go to the Magic as part of the discussed trade.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are also interested in Frye, who has two more seasons remaining on his deal.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have offered Anderson Varejao to the Orlando Magic in return for Channing Frye.

Frye would give the Cavaliers another big capable of stretching the floor.

The Magic have also been in talks with the Los Angeles Clippers on a Frye trade.

Sam Amick reports the Magic don't plan on accepting the Cavaliers' offer of Varejao for Frye.

The New Orleans Pelicans held discussions with the Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons on a three-team trade involving Ryan Anderson and Tobias Harris.

Those scenarios had Harris going to the Pelicans and Anderson going to the Pistons.

Anderson will be a free agent in the offseason.

The Pistons and Magic agreed to a two-team trade of Harris for Brandon Jennings and Ersan Ilyasova.

The Los Angeles Clippers and Orlando Magic are nearing agreement on a Channing Frye trade.

Frye is signed through the 17-18 season at $7.8 million and $7.4 million.

Lance Stephenson would likely be used in the trade, as would CJ Wilcox and possibly a second round pick. Stephenson would be waived immediately by the Magic and never play for the team.

The Clippers are in a holding pattern on the trade as they explore other moves and will give the Magic a decision by Wednesday morning.

Frye is also a trade target for several teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Orlando Magic traded Tobias Harris to the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday, but are unlikely move any other young members of their core.

Evan Fournier, Aaron Gordon, Mario Hezonja, Victor Oladipo, Elfrid Payton and Nik Vucevic won't be moved barring a blockbuster offer.

Brandon Jennings and Ersas Ilyasova were added to the Magic in their trade with the Pistons.

The Detroit Pistons have acquired Tobias Harris from the Orlando Magic for Brandon Jennings and Ersan Ilyasova.

Harris is in the first season of a four-year, $64 million contract signed in the offseason.

Jennings is making $8.3 million in the final season of his contract.

The Magic will have a team option worth $8.4 million for Ilyasova for the 16-17 season.
