Dragic: Suns' Vibe Is Hot And Cold This Season

Dec 23, 2014 11:06 AM

The Phoenix Suns have had one of the more inconsistent seasons of any team in the NBA with wins against the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs, but have also suffered some home wins against lesser teams.

“It’s perplexing,” Jeff Hornacek told Zach Lowe this weekend in New York. “Sometimes it’s like, ‘Come on, guys.’”

“Our vibe is hot and cold,” Goran Dragic said before Phoenix’s win against the Knicks. “It’s kind of disturbing.”

Goran Dragic Will 'Definitely' Consider Signing With Knicks

Dec 21, 2014 11:12 AM

Goran Dragic called signing with the New York Knicks a “possibility” in July when he plans to opt out of his contract and test free agency.

The presence of Phil Jackson makes the Knicks more attractive to Dragic.

“Oh yeah, definitely,” said Dragic, who earned All-NBA third-team honors last season. “You know Phil, he was a great coach. He won so many titles and he was coaching so many great players that of course it’s interesting and I would love working with him. Because probably he’s making all the moves — I’m not sure — but he knows what the team needs and what direction the team needs to go. In the past probably, he makes some decisions, who the Lakers bring in and the Chicago Bulls and (he) did an amazing job.”

Dragic said he intends to keep his options open for free agency and isn’t focusing on any single team, though he did repeat the Knicks were an option.

“I think so it’s a possibility, but not just New York,” Dragic said. “I’m a free agent. I want to explore my options but so far I’m really happy in Phoenix. They give me a lot. I like the city. I like the fans and I like the organization, so it’s going to be a tough decision to make, but I’m going to start thinking of that at the end of the season.”

Isaiah Thomas: Agent Firing Unrelated To Suns' Future

Dec 17, 2014 2:06 PM

Isaiah Thomas recently fired agent Andy Miller and said the move was unrelated to his future with the Phoenix Suns, despite dot-connectors and his recent comments to CBS Sports that the situation "was not what I expected."

Miller negotiated Thomas' four-year, $27 million contract with Phoenix in July.

"It's unrelated to the Suns," Thomas said of firing his agent. "I lost trust in the guy. That's all it is. Professional reasons. Personal reasons as well. People, I've seen, say I want to be traded and things like that. Nah, that happened two weeks ago.

"I'm not OK with losing, so I don't think anybody is OK with what is going on right now. We've got to figure it out."

The Suns have gone 12-14 this season.

"My family loves it," Thomas said. "So if they're happy, I'm happy. Like I said, we're losing now. And, no, I'm not OK with the situation right now because we are on a six-game losing streak. I'm not OK with it."
