Zach Collins underwent revision surgery to repair a left medial malleolus stress fracture.

The procedure was performed by Dr. David Porter at Methodist Sports Medicine in Indianapolis.

Collins previously underwent ankle surgery on September 1.

Collins is out indefinitely and his status will be updated accordingly.

Carmelo Anthony did not travel to Los Angeles due to the league's health and safety protocols.

The Blazers play the Lakers on Monday.

Anthony is averaging 10 points per game to start the season. 

The Portland Trail Blazers exercised the fourth-year rookie scale option for Anfernee Simons and third-year option for Nassir Little, sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The 21-year-old Simons averaged 8.3 points per game last season.

The 20-year-old Little is currently out due to health and safety protocols.

The Portland Trail Blazers expect Zach Collins to return to the court sometime in mid-late January.

Collins, who is currently able to do light workouts during training camp, had ankle surgery in September. 

Gary Trent Jr. said that he intends to play out this season and become a restricted free agent instead of negotiating a contract extension. 

The Blazers will have an opportunity to match any offer should Trent become a restricted free agent. 

The 21-year-old Trent averaged 8.9 points with the Blazers last season. 

The Portland Trail Blazers have closed their practice facility following three positive COVID-19 tests.

"Over the past four days, we have had three positive COVID test results within our organization.

"Out of an abundance of caution, having completed contact tracing, we are closing our practice facility today for deep cleaning while we run confirmatory tests," said general manager Neil Olshey.

48 out of 546 players recently tested positive for COVID-19 as players and staff returned to their home markets.
