Deandre Ayton left the Portland Trail Blazers' loss to the Miami Heat on Tuesday with a sprained hand.

X-rays returned negative.

"I think there will be some further testing because he was in quite a bit of pain. I thought (Ayton) dominated that first half. Offensively, defensively, he dominated the game," said Chauncey Billups after the game.

Ayton, who suffered the injury in the first quarter but didn't leave the game until halftime, finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Portland Trail Blazers have agreed to sign Ashton Hagans to a Two-Way contract.

In 15 games this season in the G League, Hagans is averaging 15.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 9.1 assists.

Hagans is represented by Daniel Hazan.

The Portland Trail Blazers have agreed to sign Duop Reath to a three-year standard NBA deal.

Reath was previously on a Two-Way deal with the Blazers.

Reath is averaging 8.9 points per game this season.

Scoot Henderson made his first start for the Portland Trail Blazers in over a month. That's something Portland head coach Chauncey Billups said he expects to continue for the rest of the season.

Billups said Henderson has improved enough during his rookie season that he's earned the Blazers starting point guard role. Henderson had previously started in 15 of the 42 games he had played before Thursday.

Portland Trail Blazers guard Malcolm Brogdon will be out at least two weeks due to tendinitis in his right elbow. The Trail Blazers announced Brogdon has undergone treatment for the ailment.

The 2023 Sixth Man of the Year has had a solid first season in Portland. Brogdon has averaged 15.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game for the Blazers.

Shaedon Sharpe underwent successful abdomen surgery to repair a core muscle injury, the Portland Trail Blazers announced on Friday.

Sharpe, who was injured on January 11, will be re-evaluated in six weeks. 

The Portland Trail Blazers have agreed to sign Ashton Hagans on a 10-day contract.

Hagan is averaging 15.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 9.1 assists in 31.4 minutes over 15 games in the G League for the Rip City Remix of the G League. 

The Boston Celtics have agreed to trade Dalano Banton to the Portland Trail Blazers for a heavily protected second round pick.

Banton has appeared in 24 games with the Boston Celtics this season. 

Banton is represented by Aaron Turner.

The Portland Trail Blazers are indicating to teams that they are interested in keeping veterans Jerami Grant and Malcolm Brogdon. Both players have been rumored targets of several teams ahead of the trade deadline.

For the Trail Blazers to consider moving either player, they'd need an offer that blows them away.

Grant is in the first year of the five-year, $160 million deal he re-signed with Portland on this past summer. The Blazers have said they see Grant as a veteran leader for their young team, as well as a key player at a position where they don't have a lot of depth.

Brogdon was acquired this summer in the series of deals that saw Portland move both Damian Lillard and Jrue Holiday. The veteran guard is owed $22.5 million in each of this season and next. Portland has other young guards, but likes what Brogdon has brought that group as a veteran.

Shaedon Sharpe will undergo surgery to repair a core muscle injury, the Portland Trail Blazers announced on Tuesday.

The Blazers will release a timeline for his recovery following the surgery.

Sharpe is averaging 15.9 points and 5.0 rebounds this season.
