The San Antonio Spurs have waived Marcus Morris Sr. after agreeing to a buyout.

San Antonio acquired Morris Sr. on Feb. 8 as part of a three-team trade with the Indiana Pacers and Philadelphia 76ers.

Pat Beverley previously reported that Morris is expected to sign with the Minnesota Timberwolves upon his inevitable buyout.

Wembanyama wore a Louis Vuitton suit at Barclays Center when he was chosen as the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NBA draft.

"Over the years there's been plenty of different styles and some that are really, really outdated now in the league," Wembanyama told GQ in an interview. "To me it's the best. ... It's the best partner I can think of."

The Atlanta Hawks and San Antonio Spurs discussed a trade involving Trae Young ahead of last week's trade deadline, according to Howard Beck of The Ringer.

Young has been the subject of several trade rumors, with the Lakers also reportedly interested.

The Hawks also kept Dejounte Murray past the trade deadline.

Beck adds that it is a "near certainty" that the Hawks will trade one or both of the players this summer.

Marcus Morris is leaning towards joining the Minnesota Timberwolves for the rest of this season, per former teammate Patrick Beverley. Morris was traded to the San Antonio Spurs at the deadline in a three-team deal that brought Buddy Hield to the Philadelphia 76ers from the Indiana Pacers.

Morris is expected to work a buyout agreement with the Spurs, but no deal has been reached yet. When it is, Morris will be able to join the Timberwolves. Minnesota currently sits atop the Western Conference. The Wolves added to their bench at the deadline by trading for Monte Morris. Adding Marcus Morris would give them additional depth for a playoff run.

Multiple front offices came away from conversations with the Atlanta Hawks that Trae Young could become available this offseason, reports Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.

The potential availability of Young could hinge on how the Hawks play over the remainder of the season.

The Hawks shopped Dejounte Murray for several weeks and decided to keep him at this juncture after not finding any offers to match their valuation of him. Murray is set to begin Year 1 of a four-year, $114 million deal next season.

The Hawks presumably would get a much more significant trade return if they make Young available. 

After the 22-23 season, there were rumors that Young could be made available. 

The Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs are two teams that have been linked with Young should he hit the trade market. 

The Indiana Pacers have agreed to acquire Doug McDermott from the San Antonio Spurs for Marcus Morris, a second round pick via the Los Angeles Clippers in 2029 and cash. 

The Pacers traded away Buddy Hield to the Philadelphia 76ers earlier on deadline day. 

Victor Wembanyama and Brandon Miller have been named the NBA's Rookies of the Month for January.

Wembanyama averaged 24.0 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.4 blocks in January.

Miller averaged 16.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists for the Charlotte Hornets.
