The NBA has officially informed teams they are now projecting the 20-21 salary cap at $115 million.

The previous projection was $116 million. The luxury tax is estimated at $139 million.

The NBA salary cap is currently at $109.1 million in the 19-20 season.

Many teams were preparing for the updated estimate to be closer to $113 million.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed center Marques Bolden to a 10-day contract.

Bolden (6-10, 249) has played in 28 games (24 starts) this season for the Canton Charge, the Cavaliers’ exclusively owned and operated NBA G League team, averaging 9.1 points on .636 shooting from the field, 6.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 18.3 minutes per game. He was also a member of the Cavaliers’ roster for the 2019 preseason and NBA Summer League. Bolden originally went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft after playing three years collegiately at Duke, where he averaged 3.8 points on .573 shooting from the floor, 3.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 13.6 minutes per game.

The Cavaliers’ roster now stands at 17, including two Two-Way players.

Gary Clark has agreed to sign a second 10-day contract with the Orlando Magic.

Clark has averaged 4.0 points in 13.7 minutes over five games since joining the Magic.

Clark previously played in a 18 games with the Houston Rockets this season.

The Brooklyn Nets have signed guard/forward Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot to a second 10-day contract. 

Luwawu-Cabarrot (6’7, 210) was originally signed by Brooklyn to a two-way contract on Oct. 23 and signed a 10-day contract with the Nets on Jan. 15. In 21 games for Brooklyn this season, the 24-year-old has averaged 5.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 16.5 minutes per contest, shooting 42.4 percent from the field and 38.6 percent from 3-point range. In 192 career games (33 starts) over four NBA seasons with Brooklyn, Chicago (2019), Oklahoma City (2018-19) and Philadelphia (2016-18), he has averaged 5.6 points and 1.9 rebounds in 15.7 minutes per game. Luwawu-Cabarrot has also appeared in and started 10 NBA G League contests with the Long Island Nets this season, averaging 19.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.0 steals in 33.2 minutes per game.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed forward Alfonzo McKinnie to a second 10-day contract.

McKinnie (6-8, 215) signed his first 10-day contract with the Cavaliers on January 9. He has played in 29 games (one start) for Cleveland this season, averaging 3.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in 13.1 minutes per contest. Over his three-year NBA career, the Wisconsin-Green Bay product owns career averages of 4.0 points and 2.9 rebounds in 12.5 minutes per game over 115 career contests (six starts) with the Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors and Golden State Warriors.

The Detroit Pistons have been granted a $9.2 million disabled player exception for the probable season-ending injury to Blake Griffin.

Griffin underwent surgery on his left knee earlier in January.

The Pistons are currently in ninth place in the Eastern Conference.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will sign Tyler Cook to a second 10-day contract.

Cook has appeared in eight games this season for the Cavaliers.

Royce O'Neale has agreed to a four-year, $36 million extension with the Utah Jazz.

O'Neale has emerge over the past two seasons as a key rotation player for the Jazz.

Raptors 905 have re-signed Justin Anderson.

Anderson recently came off a 10-day contract with the Brooklyn Nets.

Anderson performed well during his initial 13 games with the 905, averaging 21.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists on 48.4 per cent shooting.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have intensified their pursuit of D'Angelo Russell.

Deals have yielded no traction as the Golden State Warriors have been inclined to keep Russell. The Wolves attempted to sign Russell this past offseason and is known to be close friends with Karl-Antony Towns.

Minnesota traded Jeff Teague to the Atlanta Hawks earlier on Thursday.
