Dell Curry stepped down as assistant coach with the Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday, three months after accepting the position.
Curry, who has two sons who play basketball, was concerned about the time commitment for the job, a team spokesman said. Curry will work in community relations for the team.
Curry, who spent 10 of his 16 seasons with the Charlotte Hornets, had served as the Bobcats' director of player development. In June, new coach Sam Vincent selected Curry as an assistant.
Vincent has been interviewing candidates to replace Curry. The rest of Vincent's staff includes Phil Ford, Lee Rose, Jeff Capel and Paul Mokeski.
